Sony is now looking towards expanding PlayStation Suite to Smartphone and tablets with HTC getting the crown as the first handset manufacturer to benefit from the certification program. The good news is HTC’s high-end One Series smart phones, namely HTC One X, One S, and One V, will be the first to inaugurate this certification.
Formerly known as” PlayStation Suite”, Sony has named the software to be utilized by certified mobile devices as "PlayStation Mobile", which will be pointing towards its shift to mobile gadgets like, smart phones as well as tablets. Gaining this PlayStation Mobile certification simply means an optimum performance level with the content of PlayStation, while making it intriguing for developers to create games, which will deliver PlayStation-like experience for devices running on Android.
As for HTC, upon gaining this PlayStation certification, it will enable One Series owners to get exclusive PlayStation games with the inclusion of PS1 and PS2 titles. Previously, this was only made available on the Xperia Play, but luckily, that will no longer be the case. All in all, with Sony partnering with HTC to share an ultimate gaming experience, it gives HTC cell phones an edge on mobile gaming. At the moment there is no mentioning as to which HTC handsets will be supported, but HTC One Series smart phone users around the globe will be able to enjoy it soon, according to Kouji Kodera, HTC chief product officer. As a HTC One owner, are you looking forward towards the gaming experience that the PlayStation certification will bring about?

While some of the users might own a flawless HTC EVO 4G LTE, there are some who are found to have bought units with faulty display. As reported by some EVO LTE owners over at XDA developers forum, a couple of units are experiencing light bleed issues. Reportedly, the display of the SmartPhone shows light bleed around the home button when there is a pitch dark background.
As you can see from the picture, the EVO LTE at the left shows the light bleed issue when the home screen button is lit up. Comparatively, the device resting at the right is working fine without any display problems. It should be noted that this picture was taken in a dark room therefore the light bleed is very prominent. So, if you are looking at an affected device in a normal surrounding, the light bleed on the screen won’t be so visible. If you are unsure whether your EVO LTE Android phone is affected, you can easily check it using the Dead Pixel Test application. It is not clear how many units are actually affected with the aforementioned issue, but it seems the percentage of faulty devices is very less.
As of now, there is no official statement from either of the companies regarding this display issue. However, if you have noticed the problem, you can simply take your EVO LTE to Sprint or Best Buy. Some users are reporting about that both of these sellers are willing to replace units with light bleed issues. However, in order to get a replacement, you must request for an exchange within the 30-day return period of your initial purchase.
Is your HTC EVO 4G LTE also experiencing such light bleed issue with dark backgrounds? Or yours is luckily working just fine?

Without a doubt, HTC One X is a great device to own, but just like any other device, some issues are being faced with it. Lately, some users have reported Wi-Fi connectivity issues and referred to it as the “death grip” like the iPhone 4. It is named so because the Wi-Fi signal is seen to drop more drastically when the device is held in a specific way. Furthermore, this death grip is also reported to hinder Bluetooth connectivity, but of course, the Wi-Fi issue raises major concern among users.

While it is being said that the problem is occurring due to faulty hardware, but the root cause is not nailed as of now. According to a thread in the XDA Developers forum, a user by the name “bigoliver” has put light on a way to figure out whether your One X is affected by this issue or not. In order to test the device, you need to gently squeeze “the side back of your phone, between the camera lens and the volume buttons” while being connected to Wi-Fi. While you’re squeezing the said area, if you notice the Wi-Fi signal strength improve, then your device is affected according to the report. The unconfirmed discovery is that the antennas utilized for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity are loosely linked to the radio of the One X, which is highlighted as the main cause of Wi-Fi death grip.
HTC did come out of the hood and responded to this Wi-Fi issue. In fact, one of their representatives posted on the XDA forum agreeing to this Wi-Fi connectivity issue while reporting that the engineers are working and till now couldn’t find out the root cause. Moreover, they are also requesting users to PM details about their experience so as to gain help for analyzing the issue after all. Is your HTC One X also suffering from the “death grip” Wi-Fi problem? Did you try the above mentioned technique and observed any changes to the Wi-Fi signal strength? Do let us know your experience.

With HTC One X and One V already being available in India rather quickly, the other member in the HTC One family took its time before hitting the stores. Initially, there were rumors that the HTC One S would be launched in the markets on June 8, but it finally ended up being released in India on June 15.
Infibeam, a popular Indian online store, had already started taking pre-orders before launch, but starting from June 15, they are selling the One S at INR 36,157 (about $655) inclusive of 8% savings. On the other hand, if you want a cheaper deal, then head towards the Indian online store, Saholic that is offering the device for INR 33,000 (about $590). So, if you have been eyeing the One S, it is your chance to grab it.

As for the features and specifications of the HTC One S that is launched in India, it comes with a changed processor than the international version. This shouldn’t come as a surprise because HTC has already announced that some selected markets will be offering the One S with S3 powerhouse. The Indian version is packed with dual core 1.7GHz Snapdragon S3 processor, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system, 16GB in-built storage and an amazing 8MP camera with LED flash. Even though the smart phone comes with beats Audio integration to enjoy great quality music, the One S is not coupled with a free beats audio headset. If you are interested to own this super phone, you can just head towards your preferred Indian online store and place your order, which is said to be delivered within 2-4 business days.
