    TasKiller Free

These HTC One devices are going to be great for multitasking and what not but my major concern is battery life. I want to recommend an app that will definitely help preserve your battery life. Many smart phone users don't know that when you multitask and run multiple apps you leave apps running in the background. This is where your battery loses a lot of juice. I like to use TasKiller Free to help me with this.

Lets say that are running multiple apps and then need to close them down. Going in there and doing it one by one will take a long time and be kind of annoying. Just run TasKiller Free and follow the straightforward instructions to close down all of the apps running in the back ground. This should help at least preserve some of your battery life.

for more information visit the TasKiller site.

Not a bad program. I use Advanced Task Killer it's got an ignore list and auto-task kill features that make it a handy app to have, especially if you run out of power often.

I use Advanced Task Killer as well. When I first started using a smart phone my battery would go in an hour or two. Task killer, and a few other changes, has helped it last as long as any other phone.

I did not realize how important task killers were. I was afraid to use them because someone told me that shutting down a lot of apps all at once is bad for the phone. So is what I have been told untrue?

I cant say with 100% certainty that it cannot harm your phone. Anything if used without caution can cause damage. I have not heard anything bad from TasKiller but if you do plan on using it, make sure that you understand the program before you use it.

You know, I have never heard of anyone one who broke their phone with task killer either, but the guy who told me that is pretty smart so I wondered. Thanks for sharing your opinion.

Hey Zipper, maybe the guy knows something that we all don't know. Why don't you ask him for more info.

I think that the reason you were told that closing alot of apps at once was bad for the phone is because Android devices learn over a period of time which apps you use often and which apps are used less frequently and closes apps accordingly automatically. The use of Task killers prevents your device from going through this learning process.

Learning new stuff everyday. Great info Reddward, that actually makes a lot of sense. So all in all its not really harming your phone just preventing it from thinking on its own, sort of.
