When downloading a large file, the data/ WiFi radio exert some considerable strain on the battery and processor, which explains the heating up. Anyway, I dont suppose it becomes that hot to raise any alarm
I think it is a problem of its battery. It is a serious issue. If you have any way to exchange it then do it otherwise sometimes it may be dangerous for you
Replace your battery i think due to the problem in your battery it is getting terribly hot.Go for a replacement it is the best idea i think so
do one thing take out your battery from the phone and keep it in a cool place for some days and then reuse it see whether the problem is again occurring or not

HTC One V is a best android phone. First replace your mobile battery. If this is not work then switch off phone once in 2 or 3 days and avoid over charging your phone. Then disable unwanted application, use proper case which can not produce heat. Avoid use of phone when it is plugged in charging.

Is anyone's htc one v working slow??? i bought before 2 months.. like any normal phone i m downloading stuff online even apps from the android market.. and i do make a point that i transfer the apps on sd card also i kill all tasks after using. but still its not helpful. i dont y my phone is working slow. plz guide. should i tell the vendor to replace it?
I don't think it is your phone. I agree with the others - it is more than likely your battery. I think that while cell phones are getting better and have more features, the batteries are not being created to keep up with them.
