htc one X cannot sync with HTC sysnc manager 1016

First my new hts showed "SD cart unmounted' whenever I tried to take a photo and view it; THen I found I could not listen to any of my music. After numerous searches on the internet and after numerous tries, I factory reset it, opting to delete all.

Now my SD card is reachable (eg camera can take shots and store, and I can view the contents of the card, if I hook the phone to a computer and use windows explorer )

Now I cannot sync back my music files into the phone. Whenever I start the HTS sync manager AND syc, it goes to 1 %, then they says

Sync complete

unable to sync. Please reconnect your device.

Of course I reconnected many times, rebooted both myt PC (Windows 7 professional) and the phone. Results is consistently same as above. Can ayone help me please. (It is really funny the first line of the message says "SYnc complete"!!

I am having the same problem on different PCs with the HTC One X+.

I fixed this issue on my phone by going into settings>applications:

HTC SYNC & HTC MOBILE SYNC, Uninstall updates then force stop.

Then once I connected to HTC SYNC MANAGER again all was good.
