    Portable hotspot woes

Since getting my new HTC One V yesterday, I noticed a very strange thing happening when trying to connect a laptop through the portable hotspot. Every time I tried to connect, my phone shut down and rebooting, letting me know there was an unexpected restart, only to crash again when I try to reconnect the laptop.

Here's the kicker, though, it only happens when I try to connect my Acer Eee-pc, when I try to connect my Asus N53J, it works just fine (in fact, I'm typing this message while being connected through my phone right now). They're both running W7, with the exact same settings as far as I know...

So what do you guys think, should I return it to the store and ask for a replacement? or is this a known bug/some wrong hidden setting?

I guess I did notice something to that effect, too. I sort of thought it was just standard, as the phone picked up on the new connection. I just figured it was annoyance that I would have to live with.
