[Htc One V] - Cannot detect headphones or earphones

I have been using my Htc one V for about 1~2 weeks. It was working very nicely, until It suddenly cannot detect earphones or headphones.
When I try to plug in the earphone and play music, the music played through the speaker even though the earphone is still intact in the audio jack.

I have tried Factory reset twice, search everywhere in google, but failed to find a solution to this.
I really hope that someone could help me with this! D:

Since you have tried factory reset without success, you might just want to take it back where you got it from. That sounds like a serious defect.

I also faced the same situation..i used the earphones yesterday and today it is not detecting them. This is my second new handset , after the first one died in just 1 month.
If u find a solution to this please do share...!!

I had my 320 Euros HTC ONE V for 15 days. Then it stopped working.
Send it to service. Said it will be back after 4 working days.
3 weeks later they called me to tell me that there was humidity in the cell-phone and they needed to charge me 162 Euros.
I said I do not accept that since nothing from my side could have created humidity in the mobile phone.

I called customer care and stated my complaints and they said they would fix me my mobile phone for free finally.
3 weeks later my mobile phone came to me - I had to pay 9 Euros for the transportation and fixing.
I got my mobile phone back without being fixed.

I am so pissed right now - I bought this mobile phone in order to get a job that needed to have android mobile phone - I lost the job, 320 Euros for the phone, 9 for the fixing, 15 Euros for the case, 21 Euros for the micro-sd card and 1,5 months of calling HTC and trying to make a sense out of them.

Feel terribly stupid and pissed.
