alarm that works when phone is switched off

hi, I just got a HTC one x and unlike previous phones I've had from other brands I've noticed the alarm does not work when the phone is switched off.

I've also tried 2 other free alarm apps and they too do not work when the phone is off. is there a way to rectify this? or an app that works when the phone is off?

Well everytime I want my alarm to go off I make sure my phone is on. I have never heard of an alarm going off when the phone is off. What kind of smart phone did you have before this. Maybe look into the alarm settings of your old phone and see if you can do the same on your One X.

Strange but very true. My dumb Samsung C52xx used to work even when off. It is therefore strange that the smart One X cant do the same

Yeah this feature is mainly noticeable in maximum of the samsung devices but now the HTC one x is now provided with this alarm feature when the phone is switched off.A very good feature has been inbuilted no doubt

Nothing to do with alarm settings. I had 2 blackberries, alarm goes off whilst phone is off is standard. I would prefer this as a way of conserving battery whilst I'm sleeping

It is not provided with HTC One X. I've tested several times and tried third party apps. None work while phone is off
