I'm not sure you can remove the batteries from these devices, just like apple devices.

I was on a call to my son, I put the speaker phone on as I was busy. when the call ended the screen went black and the phone was totally unresponsive. There was a feint red light visible on the top left hand side of the screen and no matter what I tried nothing would wake the phone up.

Angry and frustrated I stormed off to the Orange shop where I got it from. I told her what had happened and that it had been that way for 30 mins or so. She pressed the power button and the little !@#$ booted straight up making me look like a total bowel movement. The phone asked to send an error report and now all is good.
I have the same problem too, as the screen goes black after a phone call. I also have battery problems - charging issues.

Have you tried completely draining the battery then charging to full?

Same problem, here's what I did.....

Ok I have had my One X since June 2012 and last night my screen went blank. The phone itself was majorly hot but at 50% battery. It still rang and I still recieved alerts, notifications, etc... the only problem was my screen was totally unresponsive. I did both a hard and warm reset and the screen still didnt come on. I even plugged it into my computer and wall jack and it still didnt come on.
Because the phone itself still functioned without the screen light I believe it just got too hot and needed to cool off. I have a Kindle Fire and the same thing happened to it. It got too hot and needed at least 2 to 3 days to cool off before I could turn it on. Instead of waiting for my phone to do this to see if my assumption was correct, I just took to the AT&T store and since it is still under warranty I just got a replacement to be shipped out. I am almost positive that it was just overheated because today the screen has become responsive but still dark. And since it is my only means of communication (I mean who has a house phone) I need my replacement and refuse to wait for complete cool off especially if that wasnt the actual problem.
But since the phone itself just came out in May, anyone experiencing any problems you can always get a replacement for free because of the one year warranty so utilize it.

My ATT HoX phone has got bad display from yesterday. Phone is very much alive - able to receive calls, vibrates when touched, touch buttons glowing, but the screen is black. With this, i am not sure how to do hard reset? Can you guys help me in fixing this problem?

    Thanks in Advance..
