    Black coma screen

Has anyone else come across this?

I was on a call to my son, I put the speaker phone on as I was busy. when the call ended the screen went black and the phone was totally unresponsive. There was a feint red light visible on the top left hand side of the screen and no matter what I tried nothing would wake the phone up.

Angry and frustrated I stormed off to the Orange shop where I got it from. I told her what had happened and that it had been that way for 30 mins or so. She pressed the power button and the little !@#$ booted straight up making me look like a total bowel movement. The phone asked to send an error report and now all is good.

Sounds about right, Ive never encountered this before but it looks like it might be something to keep in mind and see if anyone else reports the same issue. It would be a shame if it was a manufacturer defect.

Ive been reading online that a lot of One X users are experiencing issues in where HTC Sense keeps crashing about 3-5 times a day. Are you still experiencing this?

That was the first and last time up to just. It was however the first time I had used the speakerphone. It was weird. This was the worry for me prior to getting the One x because I'm used to removing the battery whenever I encountered a crash but as you know that's not possible with this phone. I suppose if we get a bad long lasting crash then We'd have to wait for the battery to run out to reboot??

No i dont think so. If im correct there is a reboot sequence that can be activated by pressing a few buttons. Here is the actual source from HTC.

    Restarting HTC*One*X

Thats also probably what the sales associate did when you took your phone back to the shop.

No I watched her like a hawk, she just pressed the power briefly. Thanks for the reboot tip though HTCONE.

Lets face it guys, we've got these phones as soon as they've entered the market, so we are test subjects. When these things happen an error report is sent back to htc and are usually fixed on software updates. It's the same with windows on your pc, they release the latest version but it is usually bug ridden but fixed when updates are available. There is no need to worry. My phone hasn't crashed since the last time.

Your right about being test subjects. I am glad a brave few are doing it. Also, I would have done a hard reboot. Pulled the battery out and put it back in. Is it ok to Hard reboot the HTC One phones?
