Do HTC One XL Hacks Void the Warranty?

I have never hacked a phone or used a mod. The reason that I have never done it is that I heard that hacks, such as HTC One XL hacks, would void the warranty. Is this true?

Everyone starts off as a newbie, just do a lot of research before attempting. However rooting will not avoid the warranty, as you can also revert back to the OFW.

Ohh, cool. Thanks for the info. I was thinking I could try to root my current HTC phone. That way by the time I get and HTC One phone I will already have some experience.

I agree with Kass, just because you have never done it before doesn't mean that you should give up. If you have a friend who has done it, you should ask them for help. Otherwise I think your plan of learning to root on an earlier HTC phone s a good idea.

I dont think that your warranty will become void if you mod your device. Only because like Kassemjo said, you can revert back to the original settings by hitting the reset button.

I had always thought it voided the warranty as well! I never thought about the fact that you could just revert it back to factory default! Well done, and thanks.
