June 2012 might be a significant month for HTC One series lovers all around India, as the scheduled date for the release of the fabled HTC One S smartphone in India has finally been decided in the month of June. As of now, June 8th is the day when the phone would be officially released in India for the phone.
After the release of the HTC One X, it seems this is the next big thing that would be launched in India from HTC, which has an Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system. The phone is going to be costing somewhere around 33000 INR (about $588) but there are other rumors pointing the price to be somewhere around 30000 INR (about $535) when it is released. With a dual core 1.5 GHz processor, an 8 megapixel primary camera, 1 GB RAM, and 16 GB internal memory, this is being predicted to be a formidable player in the high-end smartphone field. Its sleek body with around 7.8 mm metal body makes it one of the slimmest smart phones, and the 119.5 grams net weight makes it one of the lightest as well.
At present no cell phone carriers have disclosed any offers they might make exclusively with the HTC One S, but we hope that plans in accordance to the needs of the user would be formulated specially for the usage of the phone, like the One X. We hope that some cell phone carriers would give a reduced-price rental offer once the phone is officially launched. Stay tuned for updates on this. Any one here from India excited for the June 8th release?
